Make Money While You Sleep
Posted by Shannon Lilly in Making MoneySince I started blogging I have seen so many money making ideas float around the net its hard to decide what really can make you money while your sleeping. I am talking about automated systems to generate revenue!
Today I want to talk about one of the main ones I have tested out and list what I do and do not like about it. Please bare with me and be sure and leave your thoughts by commenting below!
Google Adsense
If you have been learning to make money online for any length of time you have probably heard about Google Adsense. Adsense is basically the website owners way of making money from the Google Adwords program that tons of business use to gain traffic and customers from the Google Search Engine.
Think of Adsense as a way to take some of the money Google gets from these businesses.
Now that you know what adsense is and the basics of how it works you are probablly wondering how it makes money while your sleeping. Basically adsense is easy way to display big company banners on your site and recieve money for every time one of your visitors clicks on those ads.
I find that the bigger the companies are the more clicks you get, probablly because these big businesses have some product or service that nearly everyone needs at one time or another.
Enough Jibber Jabber
The hardest part about adsense is learning where to place the ads on your site so you make the most money from each visitor or as Google likes to call it your CTR% “Click Through Rate Precentage”. After you work with adsense for a while it becomes a second nature for where and how to place the ads. I will talk about good placements in a second but another important factor for keeping that CTR% up is to blend the ads in with your content to almost “dare I say (Trick Your Visitors Into Clicking them)”.
Google makes it easy to blend the adsense text link ads into your content allowing you full control over the colors and look of the ads. However I have found that the image ads do better for me then any of the link text ones. I believe it depends on your site and how you have groomed your readers to see links and ads on your site.
Good Adsense Placements
Believe it or not moving your adsense ads around the site can increase your CTR% so much you won’t even believe it! I learned a lot about adsense from multiple bloggers but placement is one thing that is not covered very often because it really depends on the blog its on! However here is a small graph showing some decent placement spots you can try!
See the Darker Orange zones on the above image? These are the spots that catch the human eye the quickest, right now your probabbly have content or important things in these areas but if you want to make money simply place adsense on those spots instead and BAMB instant money maker!
And that is how you make money while you sleep, remember there are multiple ways and programs like adsense you could add to your blog for an additional revenue stream! We plan to add adsense to POB soon and we will be showing the success we have with it!
